A neighbor at Harbour Cay Club
We worked around the boat during the day, but at sunset we joined a group from Harbour Cay Club for drinks at the tiki hut at the end of one of the piers. For dinner we headed to Sunset Grill with Joanne, Jack, Sandy, and Ed. It was another very productive day and another good dinner with friends.

After dinner at Porky's
Diann and Tom at Porky's
Diann and Tom picked us up about noon. They dropped me off for a hair appointment while Jim went with them to visit friends Alex and Cindy Shue that they met last year while both couples were cruising the loop. This year Alex and Cindy have rented a home in Marathon for the winter. When my hair was done, Diann and Tom brought Jim back, dropped us off at Publix grocery store, and then waited while we stocked up! Wow! Now those are good friends who understand looping! Something so simple as having a car to transport groceries is so appreciated!
Back at the boat we unloaded their car (that was full!) and then went next door to Porky’s for supper. Dan Sullivan entertains there every Thursday evening with songs from the 60’s and 70’s. A good dinner and good entertainment!
Thanks to Diann and Tom for a very productive day!

Relaxing at Burdine's
Tom and Diann Lanum arrived in Marathon late yesterday afternoon after driving from Fort Myers Beach. It was great to see them again! They picked us up in the afternoon and took us for a tour of the area that was beyond the walking/biking places that we’ve seen. Very interesting! We had supper at Cabana Breezes and then stopped off for a nightcap at Porky’s.

Jim takes a shot in the shuffleboard tournament
Harbour Cay Club holds a shuffleboard tournament every year during Super Bowl week. The winners are awarded prizes at the clubs’s Super Bowl party. So of course, we both played – and both lost in the first round. Okay. We’re going to have to practice those retirement games! But it was a beautiful day with lots of sunshine and temps close to 80.
