Yacht under construction along the ICW
Long dock
Long dock from home to boat
Low tide at this marina
Careful where you anchor
The scenery between Palm Coast and St. Augustine is eerily beautiful with lots of sand dunes and shallow water extending far from shore. Homes along this part of the waterway have docks that seem to be about ¼ mile long in order to reach deep water. About 5:00 we joined Seamoore and Goofin Off at the River’s Edge Marina in St. Augustine. Carlton rented a car and we all went to dinner at Barnacle Bill’s.

Docked at Palm Coast
Palm Coast Marina
We left Daytona Beach a little after 10:00 and arrived at Palm Coast Marina about 1:30. Around 5:00 we walked about ½ mile to the European Village, a group of shops and restaurants that were designed to look like …yup, a European village! The idea was good, but the economy has taken its toll and about ½ of the businesses are closed. We found an Italian restaurant and had antipasto and Caesar salad for dinner. Our server used to be the manager of the Chicago Yacht Club.
